Q : What should I do if I forgot the password given to access my personal account?

A : Please fill in password form again which is available at the service counter; or consult librarian on-duty at Reference Desk to get the new one.
 
Q : How could I get previous exam questions?

A : There are two ways: First: you may view such questions as scanned items via our WebDOC search engine. Second: exam paper collection in printed form is available at the shelves at Ground Floor.
 
Q : How could I access to journals?

A : KUiTTHO Library subscribes both printed and non-printed (online) journals. Printed journals are available at shelves at the First Level Perpustakaan B5 (Main Campus), meanwhile online journals can be accessed either by linking to e-journals (online version of printed journals subscribed by the library) or online database web site; then you are free to select the topic of your interest.
 
 

Q : May I get access to library online databases outside the campus?

A : Any online database with username and password could be accessed outside (you may get the username/password from librarians as stated on the library web). However, online databases without username/password could only be accessed intra campus (includes computer laboratories, lecturers’ room and offices).
 

Q : How to know the total number of books on loan?

A : Register your password by filling in a specific form that is available at service counter to open your personal account. Hence, you may check your personal account by entering your Matric No./Staff No. and the password that you have registered. Choose Borrowing Record to view your books on loan.
 

Q : May I have online renewal?

A : Yes, you may do so through your personal account. Choose Borrowing Record then select the items to be renewed and click on the Renew button. You will be given the new date for the item.
 
Q : Why I can not do online renewal, one statement as ‘Exceed renewal limit of 2’ appears?

A : You are exceeded the renewal limit, which is 2 times. Please return the books.
 
Q : What are the conditions of online renewal?

A :
a. Not exceed the renewal limit
b. Not being reserved by other user
c. Within the loan period (Not expired date)
 
Q : I found from my personal account that one item is in red colour. What happens?

A : The item was exceed the loan period allowed. Please return the book as soon as possible and pay the late return fines.
 
Q : How to get the book that KUiTTHO Library does not have?

A : KUiTTHO Library offers Inter Library Loan service. It is a service that assists the user to get reference materials that we do not have from the other libraries. Besides, we have also provided you to document delivery service from the British Library.
 
Q : How I can get this Inter Library Loan (IIL) service?

A : Completely fill in ILL form that is available at service counter, including the identified name of library having that particular book.
 
Q : How long the processing period is taken to handle ILL?

A : Waiting time regularly is within 14 working days.
 
Q : Where CD-ROM collection is located?

A : All media/audio visual items such as CD-ROM, cassette, diskette and video tape are located at Perpustakaan B5 (1st Floor).
 
Q : Is there photocopy service in library?

A : There are three photocopy machines provided. They are located at Ground Floor at both libraries and at the 1st Floor of Perpustakaan B5 . By using prepaid card, user can make photocopy on their own, which is available at service counter at RM10
 
Q : I'm losing my borrowing book from library. What should I do?

A : You can make a report about the losing book directly to librarian at Information Services Unit.
 
Q : Is locked locker service offers in KUiTTHO Library?

A : KUiTTHO Library offers locked locker services to users to keep their personel items. Locked locker places behind library main door. If the users want to rent the locker, they have to fill in locked locker form that available at services counter. After that, users can get their keys.
 
Q : How much is the locker rental?

A : Each locked locker in KUiTTHO library will be charge RM10.00 per semester.
 
Q : Where can I access Online Databases in KUiTTHO Library?

A : Online Databases can be access from any computers provided at Research Center Room. To encourage users to use our services, we also offers printing services.
 
Q : How can I know the book title available in KUiTTHO Library?

A : By using library catalog, user can access all book provided in KUiTTHO library.
